I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior on November 6, 1983 at a Randy Hogue Revival at my christian school.  I had always thought I was saved because I grew up in church and did the “right things”.  At that revival God impressed upon my heart that I was a sinner in need of a Savior, and to stop playing games!  Jesus became REAL in my life that day!  Now I know, I may not have been delivered from some awful life of drugs or alcohol, but it doesn’t matter because I knew that day that I (DAWN) was a sinner and I was just like any other sinner who needed to be saved!  One of my favorite sayings is, “the ground is level at the foot of the cross” no one is worse and no one is better, we ALL must come the SAME way to get to JESUS, through the blood!
I teach the Kindergarten-1st grade Sunday School class and I have always had a heart for young children, even as a teenager helping my Dad in junior church classes.  I worked on bus routes in high school and college.  When God called my husband into the youth ministry I was so excited to help young people.  I served as a cubbie leader in our church Awana program and poured my heart into the many youth ministries.  Jesus said, “Suffer the little children to come unto me & forbid them not for such is the kingdom of God.  He has a heart for even the little children and my desire is to help mold these “little lights” for HIM!
