Just Do What You Are Supposed To Do

Just Do What You Are Supposed To Do!

Sometimes thinking too long about a project just allows for more excuses to enter your mind. Just do it! There are many things we could get done if we would not stress about it but do it.

You may have an unpleasant project that needs to be done and you are the one to do it. Remember if you have to eat a frog don’t look at it too long!

I have a list of things that I need to do at church and at home. I have discovered if I wait too long I can justify their neglect. I am rattling the keys on the key board of my typewriter just trying to write a pastors pen. It is not an original or a unique subject but it is a necessary subject. Just do what you are supposed to do.

I have plenty to do and I always feel better when I get things done. If I go to bed knowing I have to do tomorrow what I could have done today I don’t sleep well. The reason is I have things tomorrow that need to be done and now I have added to the list with today’s undone projects. I have to tell myself, just do what you’re supposed to do when you are supposed to do it. Do it the best you can and move on. On other days you may do it better but it needs to be done now so do it!

Zig Ziglar says, if you learn to do what you are supposed to do when you are supposed to do it, the day will come you can do what you want to do when you want to do it!

Remember work is a privilege from God. Consider the alternative?

So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you say, We have are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.” Luke 17:10
